Factor analysis research for scale development

The purpose of this study is to develop a diagnostic scale for parent-child relationship disorders in infancy and to suggest emotional stability and prevention of maladaptive behavior problems in infants through early intervention. To this end, we examined how many subfactors the parent-child relationship disorder diagnostic scale consists of and verified the validity of the developed parent-child relationship disorder diagnostic scale.

This study derived the sub-factors of the parent-child relationship disorder diagnostic scale targeting a total of 612 parents of children attending early childhood education institutions in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, verified its validity and reliability, and finally evaluated the parent-child relationship. A disability diagnostic scale was developed. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, 9 factors were extracted as sub-factors of parents' perception of childhood experiences, and convergent validity and discriminant validity were verified for conceptual construct validity analysis.

Through this, we derived the parents' perception of negative childhood experiences, parental oppression, parental interaction, and child withdrawal factors as sub-factors of the parent-child relationship disorder diagnostic scale that meet both reliability and conceptual construct validity standards, and these sub-factors 28 survey items comprising the survey items were derived and subjected to factor analysis.
